Blog 3 - 11/3

Over the past two weeks, my biggest anxiety about this project is the fact I have yet to receive a follow up email regarding my volunteer application for Code Blue. This may be because they don't look at them until the official winter season, but I'm extremely worried that I can not rely on this shelter.

Because of this, I've done various back-up research on other local shelters in which I'll have a follow-up on for next blog, as I'm currently in a sticky situation figuring out some of the best locations. A lot that caught my eye that were LOCAL ended up not having any volunteering opportunities, but only the acception of donations. I would say that I've realized over the past two weeks, that I'm simply back to square one. This is okay. I believe it will be easy to overcome and it's not too late.

I've been considering completely getting rid of -- or changing aspects of -- my steps 4 & 5 in my Final Action Plan. This is because, ultimately, I do not think I have enough time to pull off any fundraisers with the time I have within the semester. Also, I'd like to narrow my focus down on simply gaining volunteering experience.

To wrap up, by my next blog, I expect to have more options for volunteering, a definite answer on my final action plan steps, AND... I will speak to a fellow classmate, Daine, to ask questions about the Code Blue shelter. This is because originally, as I was doing my first research, Daine was included in some photos posted on the Code Blue shelters website. He will definitely have answers I need regarding the volunteer form and when I can expect them to get back to me.
